  • 1972 – March 9 Kerr is born in Exton, a suburb of Phili.
  • 1990 – graduated from high school. Later, enrolled in the University of Vermont.

    After graduation, he returned to Exton to start a business marketing with his father. Shortly after, he realized he wasn't all that interested in his career and wanted to pursue something more enjoyable. He loved presenting more than selling and decided to give acting a try.
  • 1995 – appeared in Twelve Monkeys with his mother as uncredited extras. Unfortunately Kerr's scene was cut, but this still gave him an acting experience, which he very much enjoyed.
  • 1996 – first prominent role as Ryder Huges on the CBS daytime drama, As the World Turns. Won award for Best New Actor from Soap Opera Magazine.
  • 1997 – May, left As the World Turns.
  • 1998 – After a few small commercials and the daytime drama, Kerr finally got a chance to shine in the spotlight in a more wider audience. This took him to Dawson's Creek
  • 1999 – Two independent films: Hit and Runway and Kiss and Tell.
  • 2000 – Kerr's first mark on the big screen, starring in Final Destination opposite Devon Sawa, Ali Larter and Kristen Cloke. Critics applauded the star's performance seeing as his character was completely different from Jack McPhee.

    Also seen as a catcher in The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy
  • 2001 – In the year after, Kerr starred opposite Brendan Fehr in The Forsaken circling around vampires similar to the Dusk Till Dawn movies.
  • 2002 – Starred in the action movie Pressure opposite Lochlyn Muncro and Angela Featherstone.

    Also met beautiful Canadian actress, Harmoni Everett on the set of Pressure who was working on it as well. As told on the Season 3 Dawson's Creek DVD, it wasn't love at first sight, but she didn't hate his guts either. "She thought I was a dog," Kerr admits, "She said she'd never date an actor and blah blah blah, so I had to work extra hard to prove to her that I was not a dog."
  • He continues, "It was the first day of this movie and it was a bar scene and there were literally 60 beautiful women around us. It was a cheerleading convention at the bar. So you know, I'm just in my element, you know, like this is gonna be great! I see her and she is the only one that looks like she does not wanna be there. So I'm immediately attracted to it!"

    The couple was set up by one of the AD's of the film as being a very happy couple.
  • 2003 – Starred in Ground Zero, but ever since September 11th, the title changed to the former Critical Assembly about two students who help the government to track down a nuclear device stolen by terrorists.
  • 2004 – By this time, Harmoni and Kerr had wed, thanks to the AD from Pressure, who set up four people in his lifetime all getting married, making Kerr and Harmoni the fifth. Their wedding was premiered on VH1's Celebrity Weddings.

    Portraying Jason Argyle in Cruel Intentions 3, one of Kerr's least successful films, but what actor doesn't at least have one unsuccessful film?

    That didn't stop Kerr, shrugging off the critics barbs. He continued and starred in the "dramady" Silver Lake, a mix between a drama and a comedy about the supernatural. Not to much info progressed this hour long serious...
  • 2005 – Announced as character Adam in Accidental Murder about a fatal love triangle between Libby and Rebecca, to whom Kerr plays a newly hired Capital Hill aide. Although - nothing has come of the movie yet.
  • 2006 – Nothing came of Accidental Murder... In 2006, Kerr starred in E-Ring, a political drama set within the Pentagon. He also starred in the FOX drama Justice by Jerry Bruckheimer.
  • 2007 – Unfortunately, Justice's ratings weren't high enough to stay afloat, so the show was pulled.

    Later that year, Kerr appeared in a few episodes of CSI's NY series.
  • 2008 – Kerr finished up CSI NY. Later in 2008, it's announced that Kerr will be in the upcoming My Bloody Valentine opposite Jensen Ackles and Jaime King. Filming has just wrapped up and the movie is in post-production.
