What do you think drives people to this kind of entertainment?
Kerr: I think the opportunity to experience fear, but still be safe. It's something you don't get to experience that much in life.

On Manny The Movie Guy:
Manny: What made you interested in making a movie, "My Bloody Valentine"?
Kerr: Well I think the story was very compelling, that that was one of the things. The other things was that I thought that Axel Palmer was a great character.
Director Patrick Luxier said that that was the most hardest one to cast.
Kerr: Yeah, he's kind of a complex guy. In this particular story, he has a lot going on.
[cut to scene]
Kerr: He's a conflicted man. He has a lot going on. He has a bad relationship with his wife. He's cheating on his wife with a younger girl. He's in charge of finding out who's killing everybody. Everybody thinks he's the killer. His wife's long, lost, love from high school is back in town. He's gotta deal with that. It's a huge ball of stuff that he's gotta deal with.
It's got the word "Valentine" in it. There's a really interesting love triangle in there.
Kerr: Yeah
How was it working with the other two?
Kerr: Great, great! Jensen and I have known each other for awhile so it was fun working with him again. And Jaime and I just met on this film and instantly just hit it off.
What's the difference in shooting in 3D than a regular movie?
Kerr: The biggest things, from an acting standpoint, are the lights for instance. It requires a lot more light than from what we're used to. So it's bright and it's hot and it takes a little bit of getting used to.
What was your most favorite 3D moment in the movie?
Kerr: I think when Tom's, Tom Atkins' characters jaw fly's off.
That's the part when I really, really, have to do one of these (Interviewer covers eyes).
Kerr: Yeah, it's like it'll hit you in the face.
Did you watch the original movie?
Kerr: Uh huh.
What did you think? How did you think this compares to that one?
Kerr: Well, they're two - yeah, same basic story. Basic outline, I should say. It's not really the same story, but they're two totally different films.
This one is a better twist, I think.
Kerr: You think so?
Yeah, don't you think?
Kerr: I think so. I don't think the twist in the old one - I mean I pretty much called it out if I remember correctly.
What is your favorite slasher film besides My Bloody Valentine 3D?
Kerr: My favorite slasher film... does The Ring classify as a slasher?
No.
Kerr: That doesn't really classify as a slasher, it's a thriller. You know, maybe the Chainsaw series.
There we go, that's a good one.
Kerr: Yeah. I mean, come on, who came up with that idea?
Well, it's based on real events so I mean, you cannot make that up.
Kerr: The Chainsaw ones?
Yeah, Texas Chainsaw.
Kerr: I didn't know that.
You learned something new today!
Kerr: That's insane.
Thank you so much.
